Recently just brought a hdmi to vga adapter but monitor never response

So i just brought an adapter called (hdmi to vga) for my monitor it only supports (vga) and my pc only supports (hdmi and dvi) so i tried connecting them together i onky notice a blank screen on my monitor the pc looks fine but my monitor has no response or what so ever.. please help

VGA is analog only
HDMI is digital only

The two are not compatible and a simple converter will not work. What exactly did you purchase?

What you have is probably just a simple adapter. Most likely you need an "active" HDMI to VGA adapter. I'm taking a guess here, because you didn't provide the PC components. Newer graphics card only provide a digital video signal. Consequently, you need the active adapter to convert the digital video signal to an analog VGA video signal.

That's the most likely reason you're not getting anything on the monitor.

You need a full converter (ie an "active" one) which converts the video signal as well, yours only converts the port type.
