Toshiba has a utility in windows to make the recovery disks. If you can no longer get into windows you may be able to call Toshiba and order the disks i say maybe because your computer shipped with vista and Toshiba may no longer be able to sell disks with vista on them. The disks will cost about 19.99 US. Another option is to get a Vista disk and install vista on your laptop then use the key off of the sticker on your laptop to activate (may require a call to microsoft because of OEM key but the automated system will give you an activation code).

Thanks.
that is the final option - the hidden part'n is corrupted, and I was hoping to get it back to out-of-box. Toshiba are unwilling to post anything to Australia, but I may have found a company here that can do it for a fee. Many thanks.
