Solved! Recovery disc for Toshiba laptop

Hello,
I didn't create a recovery disc for my toshiba laptop. Toshiba wants to charge me $24.99 for a disc to be mailed to me!!! Is there anywhere on line I can download it? and could I download to thumbnail drive instead of a disc?

What model laptop? Usually Toshiba's have a back up partition on them to restore the factory settings. When you first turn it on, try hitting f5 or if that doesn't work, try another function key, as it should then access the recovery partition.
