I have been looking for a fast and slightly gaming and high-end program processing laptop for the $750- $900 price range. I want the i7 3630QM as the processor. I really like this refurb HP Envy http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834257032
This Acer was another choice. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314017
This Lenovo was another interest as well. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834312439

Though I stated other options, I really like the HP. I like the battery life, the Optical drive, the Hard Drive speed. The HP seems ready to go, without having to upgrade much, the only downfall is that it is refurbished. What is your guy's opinion, what should I buy?

Refurbished from the big OEM boys should be like new, normally customer returns or have had a minor part replaced. Sometimes it can be as simply as the box it come sin being a bit tardy. A friend of mine buys only Dell refurbs for 1/3 of the price and of the couple of issues he has had, have been minor and fixed under warrenty.

HP refurbish laptops only come with a 90 day warranty, should I purchase an extra 9 months for $80? Or spend an extra $160 to just buy the brand new laptop. I'm just worried that this laptop will shoot craps shortly after the small warranty is over. $850 is a lot to just throw away on a laptop for it to just quit after a couple months. Honestly, would you purchase the refurbished HP Envy that I have picked out?

A new HP ENVY dv6-7214nr directly from HP costs $1050 (or $110 more than a refurbed with a 9 month warranty).

I would rather buy a new HP Envy if the difference is only $110.

True, the 90 days is HP warranty and the extra 9 months is a purchased Newegg warranty.
