Remapping media buttons

can the media touch buttons on the gateway p-7815u be remapped to launch a different media player? the defaults are windows media for the button with the musical notes on it. The other launch is the dvd symbol that launches power dvd 8. i want to change these to other media players ive installed. is there a way to do this? the files and directories have to be somewhere but i dont know where. any ideas?

The media buttons are mapped usually using a program that does that. If should be already installed on your system. If not, you can download it from the manufacturer's website.
Once you got it, launch the program and if should give you the options of changing the default exe files that are launched, in a window similar to a windows explorer browsing window. Point it to the executables that you want, save and done.
