Remote CD was lost and need code

My finance has a Yamaha RX-V675 Receiver and lost the CD for the remote. I am trying to get the code so that I can connect correctly to a Samsung Smart TV, Blu-ray, Cable, and 2 front Klipse speakers and center channel, Polk Subwoofer and 2 Bose rear speakers.
I have the manual but the receiver needs a firmware update but am having trouble getting close to downloading the same.
I am a real AV novice but use IT a lot.

Get a quality universal remote control (when on sale, you can get Logitech 650 for $40). These are programmed thru a computer, and Logitech knows a lot of A/V equipment.

As for the receiver: Check the manual, you should be able to control the software upgrade from the front panel only.
