Replace dell 1558 motherboard with slighly different

Hi there, i have a failed dell 1558 motherboard and i want to replace with a motherboard witch has the same geometry but slightly different serial number . There would be any compatibility issues?


The failed one has serial number : DAFM9CMB8C0

The other mobo has serial number: DAFM9BMB6D0

Hi,

There shouldn't be any problem if you'll use that motherboard that has a different serial number. (DAFM9BMB6D0) The only problem that you'll come across with is the operating system since you'll need to reinstall a new one.

Here's the motherboard that has DAFM9BMB6D0 serial number with it that should work.
