Hey. So, I'm looking into getting an XPS from Dell. But I HATE the lid and the silvery plate around the keyboard. Was wondering if there's anyway to replace the lid with an Inspiron or just anything. Wanting a flat black matte one. Not the fancy B.S. ones they're trying to sell with their DesignStudio deal.

And was kinda wondering if theres anyway to replace the deal around the keyboard with something not so reflective and silver. Its just kinda... ew.

Would get an inspiron, but can't customize it the way I want.

Solution
Lenovo IdeaPad Y570?Core i5/i7 and GT 555M.

Hello alexoldshane;

I don't believe there's any easy way to do that. I'm also a fan of non-glossy material, including non-glossy (matte) screens. Although to get the 'whole package' at a good price I could be tempted to compromise some.

You might want to expand your search some. Check out the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E420s Review

Reason came down to that, cause I'm having a hard time finding something aesthetically pleasing, but also runs a i5 with a good dedicated graphics card and a 15-16" screen. >_>
