replacing an ic on a motherboard

The IC is one of the IC's which does the job of powering up the laptop, the laptop doesn't power up although when it's plugged to light and when battery is connected light gets to its motherboard. The ic number is Nikos P1493EVG UN4M2184

if it has 4 legs or less, you have a prayer, otherwise it's probably too small unless you have specialized surface mount desoldering equipment. Those SMT traces are very easy to damage.

I suggest you take it to a repair shop. They can either order one for you, or fix it.
