Replacing motherboard for AMD HP DV9500

Solution
Possible, but I would not buy it blindly.

You will need the CPU as well for it, and you will need to reinstall windows from scratch (will not be able to use your recoery partition) as different files are loaded for Intel and AMD.

Best thing you could do is dissassemble your lapop enough to look at the motherboard and meticulously check your board vs that board that all the ports and screw holes in the right place.

Also look online for any posts of others doing the conversion and what model's parts they used. There might be some necessary compoent that just does not work that you wont be able to see from a picture.

Hi, the motherboard with the Intel chip, will replace the motherboard you have with the AMD chip. The part number is in your service manual for your laptop, HP DV9500.

I put an Intel in my dv 9500 fit perfectly. You just need a different fan as the old one won't fit over the cpu. I got a new motherboard online for 50 pound.
