After 2 years of error free operation, I unplugged my 4504 to install a new
TV. Once I was connected to the new TV, everything worked fine accept the
internet communication connection for the Channel Guide update.
When I go to the Network setup screen and select Auto DHCP I get an unable
to connect message. I was lucky enough to write down all the internet
numbers (IP, Gateway, DSN1 & 2, etc) before I unplugged the unit. I tried
these numbers, but I still get the unable to connect message.
I Rebooted the unit by unplugging it, waiting, and plugging it in and trying
both actions described above.
I direct connect the Ethernet cable into the cable modem, then reset the
cable modem and retried both actions above.
Calling Replay Support, they told me to return the unit for $79.95 plus I
pay for shipping.
Does anyone have an idea to resolve the problem or does unplugging the unit
destroy it?
