Hello, i need some help on something. What i want to do is to make an image of my OS and then restore this image on a hard disk which already contains one partition with data (and sufficient free space for the OS image transfer ofcourse). This means i should end up with a hard disk where Partition 1 is my OS partition and Partition 2 is my data partition. Is that possible? Could you recommend some software capable of doing this?

Note: I tried doing this with Acronis True Image but it allows me to apply the OS image only if the destination hard disk is completely partition free (i.e. empty).

I usually do this on a home box:

SSD - C:\ OS and stuff user wants fast

2 TB HD has the following partitions

X:\ - 128 GB - Backup Install of OS (in case SSD fails can still boot)
D:\ - 1024 GB - Games
E:\ - 128 GB - Programs
F:\ - 256 GB - Data
G:\ - Remainder - Backups (OS Image)

Z:\ Optical
