SO the soundbar keeps muting every 3 secs for .5 or a second or so. Only happens while watching live TV SD or HD, smart apps on the TV such as BBC iplayer and Netfilx prime etc all dont have this issue. Soundbar is connected via optical cable. Samsung indicate this is a soundbar issue not the TV. How can this be the case? The smart apps are fine but HD/SD TV isnt so there clearly must be a difference in the processing of the Audio signal within the TV. The soundbar only has this issue when watching TV otherwise Bluetooth etc is fine and this issue never happens.
If you turn the TV speakers on do you have the same problem from them?
If so then it has to be the TV.
If not then try changing the audio type to bitstream in the TV menu.
If you can try the soundbar on another TV that would help make a case with JVC.
