[citation][nom]gm0n3y[/nom]I personally don't think that people should get fired from their job based on what they do while they aren't at work. In fact, I think there should be laws against it. Even if you're a teacher that is a part-time stripper or in the KKK, its your personal time and you should be able to do what you want. This is more important than ever with the prevalence of social media. I don't have a facebook account specifically because of this but that doesn't stop other people from posting information about me.[/citation]

bad BAD example, but good point.

would you want your teacher to be a member of the kkk, or have the morals to be a stripper part time (i would want that teacher, personally, but not teaching kids)

now if you want to go a better one, look up what happened to some flight attendants who took pictures on a plane that had no people on it, and got fired, not beacuse they broke any rule, or anything of that nature, but because they posted it on facebook or myspace, i forget how old the story is.

there was also a truck driver who was fired when it came out he liked dressing up as a woman ...

from the prospective of a business i can get the decisions, even if its a minor employee, if the janitor kills people, the employers name is brought up, the engineer highers a hooker, employer is brought up... these people have an image (granted its not as important as apples) and people who will drag it down, should be let go...

but i also get it from the individual perspective to, its their free time, they do what they want... and no one can "stop" them.

"the pilot had to turn the plane around and head back to Canada."

LOL - bitches, you better all be quiet back there before I turn this gosh-darn plane around...LOL

[citation][nom]Pazero01[/nom]Then we can go live in the jungle! I want to be lion king But seriously, I don't agree with this. It would change life as you know it.[/citation]
Lions don't live in jungles. God, if even the schmucks at Disney finally understood that, why can't you.

This, and RIM having several days of outage a month or so back are just not good things to be happening to a company with a precarious market share and diminishing positive perception.

I sincerely hope none of the passengers on that plane were significant shareholders!

Hmm.. if it was nerves or other reasons, to what extent does that mitigate the alleged actions?

In the UK recently, a judge almost completely absolved a mob of intoxicated women, of racially and physically abusing a woman, on the basis of their religion (Muslim). The judge felt that due to their religion these women were incapable of handling the effects of alcohol. No jail time for them.

Me personally, I'd love for that judge to be a on plane with them, complete with a cabinet so full of booze you can barely shut the door.

[citation][nom]willard[/nom]Yeah, this was TOTALLY just a money grab by the airlines. The 70k they pulled in totally outweighs how royally pissed off all the passengers are, the negative press for having to turn a flight around and all the reimbursements they'll end up giving the passengers who were delayed, and the passengers on the other flights that were delayed because this plane took hours longer getting there, and so on and so forth. It's so obvious! In other news...are you stupid or just 12?[/citation]

I quess I didn't make myself clear...

My point is that You shouldn't be allowed to drink that much during flight. What if it wasn't just one passanger, but you had 10 - 15 people drunk in there? Enforcment of rules about flight safety should not be limited to just harassing passangers by airport security....

What i meant with "every last penny" is that airline companies prefer to let someone drink - more than he can handle apparently - so he'll fly with them again than risk losing that precious income if he chooses another airline.

[citation][nom]spunkymunky[/nom]/brainwashed Big bad corporations are scary!!!/brainwashed[/citation]

Yes they are. The world ran just fine without behemoth companies that think that the world's duty is to give them money wether they like it or not. I don't know if you 've noticed what's been happening lately. Big corporations no longer have any interest whatsoever in the quality of the goods and services they shove down our throats. It's all about selling and increasing their numbers. The market is saturated and has been for years. We have everything we need. We even satisfied the imaginary "needs" that this system persuaded us we have... So now they build everything like crap so you'll replace it soon, they fight eachother in court to ban each other's products and finally try to directly enforce their own set of laws and even punishment for their own customers if they don't submit to their marketing policies.

Prison would have been more fitting for these two idiots, 5 years each. Still smiling? Make it six years each followed by two more years hard labour.
