Roku 1 No 1080i?

I recently hooked my Roku 1 up to my slightly older tv via HDMI. This HDMI port has given 1080i with previous devices, so it isn't the TV. I hooked up a friend's Roku Stick to make sure it wasn't the TV, and the stick got 1080i, any ideas?

You are missing what the issue is. You hooked up the Roku 1, and you have no image? Or what is going on?
