so one of my friends has an oculus DK2 and says i can have it for around $135. Can it do room scale?
I'm willing to buy other items like sensors to make it work.
Not really. It has basic positional tracking, but on a limited scale, not 360 degrees, and with no motion controllers either.
If you want a cheap PC VR headset, you can currently grab a Windows headset for $199. Still has a few shortcomings, but a very competitive offering at that price.
