Hi everybody... I have a Yamaha RX a2040 and it keeps clipping when I get it up to around 0.0... Any suggestions on what I should track down??? Did all the normal stuff check the wires check the speakers check the connections... Still clipping out... Help my Klipsch speakers are suffering

According to the specs that amp is 2 ohm capable and Klipsch speaker are very high efficiency. Which should make it very loud.

Which Klipsch speakers do you have? And where are each of them connected?

I thank you for getting back to me I am running Forte's a pair and RF 82 a pair... They are all hooked up correctly switch designated Channel with banana clips and 14 gauge speaker wire... Talk to somebody at Yamaha they said could be internal but that's like saying well I might be hungry in an hour or so okay.. You get my metaphor... Thank you for any help

Those are 8 ohm speakers and very high sensitivity. Did you set the speaker impedance in the setup menus correctly (See page 22 in the user's manual)?

Thank you for getting back to me no I did not I'm going to have to check that out I guess I never thought of that... I don't have the owner's manual so I guess I can get it online thank you for your answer that makes a lot of sense
