S6 Water Damage

So I dropped my Galaxy S6 in the sink, and I thought i dodged a bullet when nothing went wrong. Then I tried to listen to music with headphones and the audio jack didn't work. I tried using multiple pairs, so I'm fairly confident that its the audio jack that isn't working. So naturally I checked the water damage indicator in the sim card and it's white with a red X in the middle. There is no other discoloration, but they day that the indicator should be white if undamaged and red if damaged. So I'm confused as to whether it has been damaged by water and whether or not I should bring it into Sprint.
