My name is chiragbhai joshi from gondal gujarat i have purchase for samsung evo 64gb memory sd micro card but this is lock and protected not formatted please helped

There should be a physical SWITCH on the card to prevent writing to it (so read only when locked).

Update: that's for older cards. I'm investigating this card.

*There are many, many FAKE cards around including this exact model. If you didn't buy from a reputable store there's a good chance it's not real.

Many cards report the proper capacity to Windows or the device but you can't actually write that much.

Should also arrive unlocked likely. Again, I'm trying to figure out how locking works.

Some solutions that may work include:
1. put in a camera and let that try to format the card

2. put in Windows PC and do a low-level format

I have used the above, FREE version, several times. I've restored many bricked USB thumb drives and there's a pretty good chance it can fix SD cards as well.
