Samsung Galaxy SII battery loading screen

Hi my Mom was carrying her SII a long time ago and was pushed into our pool she bought a s3 and forgot about it i found it plugged it in and it showed a screen with a empty battery and a loading circle thingy and after that it turns off i can get it to only do that logo thing nothing else could it be a dead battery it doesn't do the battery logo without being plugged in its model is gt-i9100m with a 3.7v 1650 mAh EB-F1A2GBU battery thanks in advance

New logo is happening it has a battery with a yellow caution thing with ! In the middle

I would assume something is water damaged, have you already tried turning it on or does it not charge to get it started?

I plugged it in this morning and it started charging then on my bus i powed it on didnt see if i could change the brightness but it turned on

Does it work when it's not plugged in? Were you charging it while it was off?

I have it working now its fine
