samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 auto turn on

Hey i need help with my samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 after i turn it off it auto turns back on also in the recovery it says no command then says error after i try a setting i bough this off a guy awhile ago so i dont know its history and im not sure if its been changed but anyway to stop this?

Hold home button,power button and volume down for some time , then you will get a message then press volume up...this will show boot menu if this doesn't work try using Odin(Google it)

holding power and volume down brings me to recovery but i get no command then if i try something like power down or wipe cache it get a error and then the device will not power on into i plug it into power

ask the guy u bought the device from whether he tried to flash a custom ROM or not?

yes it has no been flashed i got for info about it and turns out a samsung update the most recent for the device broke it and i just rooted it to fix the recovery so now i cant update so im thinking about install a custom rom like slimlp if it available for it
