Samsung Gear VR compatibility

Can i use a samsung galaxy a5 2016 with the latest samsung gear vr?
I am asking that because the gear vr has it's own gyroscope and other sensors but the a5 does not have a gyroscope
Please respond and if someone found a way to use the gear vr with a pc
