[citation][nom]techguy378[/nom]Steve Jobs is scared to death that someone will walk into Best Buy, buy an iPad only to realize after they get home that the unit has Android installed on it and find that Android kicks the pants off of iOS. This is such an incredibly easy mistake for even the most hard core Apple fans to make.[/citation]

No need to scare him to death, karma is starting to demand payback and it shows!

[citation][nom]doorspawn[/nom]At least in Europe you can vote for someone who intends to fix these things. In the US you can either vote for the pro-stupid-patent-party or the party-for-stupid-patents.[/citation]

Who needs patents when you can vote morons in that will ban things just because someone tells them to. If this is what you call fixing things.. then well the EU needs to be dissolved.

You means customers can't read ?

Or customers are too dumb to distinguish between seven-letters logo and a biten apple picture ?

[citation][nom]Willie_81[/nom]would like to see Samsung stop suppling Apple the key parts to the ipad, etc.[/citation]
Too bad Apple has already stocked up them at least for a few years (I heard).

It is just time to get rid of the following :

Samsung's TouchWAIT, HTC's NONsense, Motorola's MotoBLOAT and Sony's TimeESCAPE (from me). The users don't like them and it cost them development costs.

[citation][nom]Pyree[/nom]"the order was issued without any hearing or presentation of evidence from Samsung. "How can the court do that? How can Apple apply so much pressure to interfere the legal process?[/citation]

This was a preliminary injunction, not a final decision.
Still... madness.

What choice do Americans have? Donkey shit or Elephant shit - 2 different shades of brown.
In Europe we have a few more variations of brown. It's still mostly shit but at least we have more choice.

Germany for instance has 5 political parties in parliament (Christian democrats (conservatives), Social democrats (liberals), Free democrats (libertarians), "The Left" (socialist scumbags) and Greens.)

There are even 2 Pirate Party delegates in the European parliament.

I think I have crossed Apple patents just by writinng a response to this Apple article while eating an Apple and saying it is an Apple to my little brother.

The "Apple" is also patented.

I don't care about tabs/pads but I do hope that Samsung wins this one.
I don't own anything that starts with an "i" and I probably never will, but this is ridiculous either way.

Consumers should always have their choice, having the courts (or anyone) take their choice away is not right.

.............................................................................

In other "NEWS" Apple claims that their brand sells more tablets that any other brand on the market... after they paid every court on the world to ensure that only Apple has the "right" to put their lousy products on the shelves.

It's possibly even worse than it seems. As badly as patent law has been abused in the U.S., if I'm reading this right, the "case" against Samsung is basically that their tablet looks sort-of like an iPad. Hopefully the judge that takes the appeal has a little more sense.

What Apple has done right is using the touch screen using hands and a good UI design for such interface. That's not what has been created and marketed before or not done so good that attract users and even a little child or normal people (non-geeks) can use.

It is important, because if not Apple, only geeks are playing around pen based touch pads. The market would not be the same size as now. Apple opened up the market and would like to defend it. Or Samsung can create another innovative user interface and just obsolete Apple's market. Simple enough.

The court in Europe (at least in Germany) siding with Apple
Apple has to much power and influence
Apple toping with Exxon
The iPad is another mediocre design from Apple
Apple buyers are stupid
Somehow Apple gets to stay afloat 30 years up to these days

The world is evil, not just America.
Save it, buy from another fair and honest corporate beast like an innocent Apple partner. Samsung.

Best regards
Your Steve Jobs advocate, from hell.

its been a whilesince I heard of this, and Im still utterly shocked every time I realize the fight s because of squares with rounded edges...

Even if this is reversed Samsung can be severely hurt by this from lack of sales to advertising already paid for for a product that people cannot obtain. I doubt Apple will win when its appealed but its clear that they just planned on doing a low blow and then running away.

[citation][nom]Darkerson[/nom]What a load of crap. If I were Samsung, Id start withholding shipments of the critical parts Apple needs. I bet that would get their attention.[/citation]

That cannot be done because its all done through contracts. Samsung would simply be sued if they breach it. However this clearly means that Apple has no plans to renew the contract after this.

Would any Apple fan-boys like to try to defend Apple's behavior on this one? Anyone...? Anyone? Bueller?

Thank you for the link.

The news article here at Tom's Hardware is just a very brief synopsis that is missing quite a bit of information.

So we are going to go off topic and just start taking opinionated pot shots? Fine, let's do it your way: That is why when the U.S. and European countries interact, the U.S. is either whuppin' butt or saving it.

I would stop buying Apple products. Who knows Samsung is not getting angry and maliciously supplying Apple with low grade components from now onwards? Next you heard, "Ipad3 failing after a few months of use, millions confused...."
