Samsung TV no image

Just now when we pushed the power button on the remote to turn on the TV, there was a loud POP, a hot smell, and there is no image or sound. The red indicator light on the right side of the TV is on. What could this be?

take it to a tv repair shop or have a tv technician come to your house as a component possibly a capacitor blew.
