Samsung UE50AU8000 screen fault - black cloud consumes screen from bottom left corner after between 30 and 60 seconds from power-on. Up to that point screen is perfect.

TV is 18m old… any thoughts on the fault and whether it is readily repaired?

Have you tried resetting the TV? Additionally, what firmware is it on? A new update came out in December.

There's an ongoing thread on the Samsung Forums with people discussing the same / similar issues. You may wish to check there. One suggestion is to turn off Intelligent Mode, but alas, that's not really a permanent fix.
