Is it even remotely possible to access Thor 2 or 3 or Intelsat 707
from the US and get any Scandinavian TV? Also, has anyone been able to
get Hispasat 1C/1D in the US? Can you buy access in the US or does it
have to be bought in Europe?

Best,

Do a search on Lyngsat.com for either free to air stuff, or if those
satellites are even in the same "sky" as seen from Connecticut.

I have. Thor and Intelsat are on 1 degree W which makes it tough. I am
looking for someone that actually has done this. I have gone through
Lyngsat for weeks.

With that elevation,(also one degree!) it looks to be damn near
impossible to get those satellites unless yer dish is on top of a very
tall skyscraper.
On there home page, just click on "america" on the "packages" line, and
see what could be available....unless you have already done that.

Also http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/Spain.shtml shows a bunch of stuff
that "might" be broadcast over the internet, but I can't read Spanish,
so yer on yer own there as well.
Sorry I can't help you out further.
