Sceptre Tv changing inputs by itself

I have a 65 inch 4k Sceptre tv and it worked fine until earlier today. I have a ps4 and a roku ultra plugged into 2 hdmi ports and I've never had an issue with them. However, I added a Sony ubp-x700 4k blu ray player into another hdmi port yesterday and now the tv keeps changing inputs by itself. I have tried:
Turning CEC off on the tv
Unplugging tv and letting it reset
Unplugging ps4 and roku from hdmi ports
Taking batteries out of remote and taking remote into another room
Unsticking buttons on both the remote and the tv itself
I'm using the sony blu ray remote to control the blu ray player/tv but I'm certain I'm not hitting the input button on it. What on earth is wrong? I'm beyond frustrated, please help!

Are you pressing ANY button on the Sony remote when the input changes? It doesn't have to be an input button.
The Sceptre and Sony may have the same IR command for different functions on each. That does happen sometimes though it's not common.

I'm not pushing a specific button if that's what you mean, it happens no matter what button I push on the sony remote and sometimes I can get a good 10 minutes in before it finally changes
