SD card is not showing its presence

My SD card is not working.If I insert it inside the phone, it does not show that it is inserted.It says that the memory card is not there.I have got a tons of memories inside it.I wish I could get it back.

Probably dead. SD cards are mostly crap and cheap ones don't last long at all anymore.
