Sd card not working

My sd card shows and plays all the music on it while in the computer, but when in my phone it says it is empty. what is the problem

That could be it.

Put it back in your computer and move all the files to a folder somewhere on your PC.

Open My Computer and right click on the flash drive. Select format. In the box check off quick format and set the type to fat32.

When it's done, put the files back on it and put in back in your phone. Does it work now?
