sd card reading

Please help. My sd card containing photos from our weekend in venice where my fiance propised to me,. They have only been on there a day and have been viewed. But after putting the card in my pc reader, it now keeps saying format disc on both pc and in the camera??
The card holds approx 300 photos
plz help???

Try to put the card back into the camera and see if the images are still there. If they are, use the data cable that came with the camera to get the images off.
