Seeking advice, buying a headset

I've been browsing Newegg for a few days, and I've come across two that've stuck out:

Would you recommend either of these? Which one? Do you have something better in mind?

I game competitively, and make music.

buy separate headphones for making music and games.

for games id go for the logitech g35, seems to be better for games, looking at the specs.
