sennheiser hd-598 with mic vs Sennheiser game one!

Hello, so i was thinking about buying a used pair of sennheiser HD-598 and a AntLion ModMic to go with it... It would actually be around 25 pounds cheaper then buying the sennheiser game one headset, allthough it would be a used pair of 598, looked pretty great on picture though, and seller claims hes only used it few times... I'll mostly be using it for gaming and music... Also i have integrated sound, mobo is a AsRock h97-anniversary edition... Will mobo matter in regards to what headset performs better in terms of sound? game one price = 169 pound vs 139 pound... Any advice/recommendation would be very much appreciated.

forgot to mention, i dont have much knowledge about standalone microphone / attachment microphones or whatever they are called, so if anyone have suggestions for a great reasonably priced mic, i'd very much appreciate that.

Edit. Any suggestions about other headset & headphone + mic combo is very welcome.

basically they are just about the same thing. i think the game one is more hd518/558 than the 598 but same family and general sound signature.

Ait thank you very much. Do you think there is any better equipment within that price range?

dt990 is a nice set of cans available cheaper in uk than the sennheisers... but you will need to fork out decent cash for an amplifier so its going to be pricier in the long run. less neutral and more v-shaped with more treble and bass.
