Sennheiser PC363D - Equalizer? How to tweak the sound...

Just got these and can't seem to set the Bass Boost under Win7 control panel. The software/driver that came with the headset only has options to set to 7.1. How do I equalize these things? Need more bass + treble

Through the driver for your sound card or onboard codec. If it's Realtek (really common integrated sound codecs), it'll be the little orange speaker icon.

If you haven't installed the sound driver, that's a paddlin'.

of course ive installed the driver. software came with it and is up to date. it has built in sound card for dolby 7.1 and is plugged in via usb to my mobo. new mobo.. no issues there. my plantronic gamecom 777's play better music than these

Okay, it's one of those headsets with a USB sound card. You can just unplug that though, if the Sennheiser driver control panel sucks.
USB sound cards tend to be pretty poor anyway, though I'd have thought Sennheiser would be the exception to that rule (if anyone was going to).

that defeats the purpose of 7.1 surround. using the realtek hd audio manager is just for stereo and different effects no?

Mine has options for 5.1 and 7.1 surround, with a diagram of speakers and what plugs in where. I don't actually have a set of speakers to test how well it works though.
