Solved! set up for tv

hi all,hada a new tv yesterday toshiba smart , 43. all ok apart from cant access dvd player have it connected to tv by hdmi also have a harddrive recorder connected which is fine.it says no signal tried all hdmis no luck any suggestions would be great thanks.

Are you certain that the DVD player actually works?

If it's an older DVD that has analog video/audio outputs then you may have to go into the player set up menu and turn the HDMI output on. Connect it to the TV with the analog outputs so you can see the menu to do that.
