Setting up a surround sound system at home.

Hey Guys, Need some help here. I am in the process of setting up a surround sound system. I have 8 ceiling speakers installed around the house and 2 installed outside on the deck. what is the best amplifier to get to push these 10 speakers properly? Or should i say, what equipment do i need to get to sort this out?

If you are setting up a surround system then you would need to have 5 speakers plus subwoofer in one room. That doesn't sound like your arrangement. Sounds like you need a distributed sound system for 5 areas (or zones). Lots of ways to do this. Depends on your budget and how you want to control each zone. The most basic system would be a stereo receiver plus speaker selector with impedance matching. You could use Sonos which is great for internet music and can be controlled with Android or iOS devices with their free app. www.Sonos.com
