Setup receiver to play only certain speakers based off input

Hello all

Here is the set up

Moved into new house.
Two rooms have two sets of speakers. (installed into the roof)
Both sets of speaker wires are in one room.

Is it possible to have a receiver play music to all four speakers off of one input and have it play TV sound to only two speakers?

Are receivers this smart or is this impossible without manually disconnecting/connecting the wires every time I want to switch from two speakers to four speakers.

Some receivers are that smart some aren't. I don't have a specific recommendation for you, but I know my B&K allows a different configuration to be saved with each input. I have to believe that is more common any more.
