The power light is flashing on my tv, it will come on for a second but then go off again.

The light will turn red, I can then turn it on and it will come on with the channel box in the corner and then it will cut off after about 30 seconds.

I'm not sure if I was mashing to many buttons at one time and did something to it. TV was working fine this morning and have never had any problems with it.

hdtv's are computers....they need to warm up...be patient in the future! unplug the TV and hold the power button for 60 seconds and see if it fixes it.

After doing it twice, it is now on and has not gone off. The first time I did it, it came on for a few seconds then went off. This time it came on and has not gone off. Thank you. The light is kind of red and yellow though. Should I be worried?

maybe...could be a sign your inverter is about shot. check your manual if you still have it. some lights blink patterns so you know whats wrong.
