Shielding the front panel port

I was wondering if anyone knew a good material to shield the front panel headphone port. The nearby electrical components in the computer cause a considerable amount of interference. If I use a USB flash drive at the front port, I can 'hear' the data being transferred. There is nothing wrong with the headphones. I have used it with other devices and it works just fine.

Thank You

Aluminum foil would probably the easiest thing to try as it's extremely malleable. Just wrap it around the port and connecting wires a few times and see if that helps out.

Aluminum doesn't transmit magnetic or electrical fields. A lot of center channels used to be shielded using it. I mentioned it cause usually a lot of people have it for kitchen use and it's easy to work with.

Eek, should mention that you don't want to short anything with the foil. If you have exposed wires or connectors, you'll want to insulate them first
