Short Period Lag

I have an Aspire V 15 Nitro with an i7, GTX 860m and 8gb Ram but every time I play a game I get a short period of FPS drop then it jumps back to playable frames. I check that I,m running the games on optimal settings and not over burdening the laptop. Any fix to this.

Please do try doing a clean install of the graphics card driver that may help in solving the issue.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
- Next is to check Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to the graphics card.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver.
- Reboot your PC once the driver has been installed.

in the bios turn off power savings and under the video drivers turn off power savings.

Okay I've tested it for a bit and the fresh driver install hasn't fixed it and I can't find the turn off power saving feature in the bios
