should i buy an intel core i3 2.2ghz 2.0 ram 64 bit os with windows 8 (Asus)

A neighbor is selling an Asus laptop with the following specs: it's an intel core i3, 2.2ghz, 2.0 ram and 64 bit operating system.

is it worth buying? If so how much max? Will I need to buy more memory. I'm not a heavy downloader or gamer.

I don't know the year.

What rgd1101 said. Price is a factor as well. It may be worth buying for $50, but not for $200. Without knowing which model and other specs, that can't be determined.

Thank you. I will post model as soon as I receive. I'm good at the ghz, ram or gb so that's why I haven't purchased a laptop. So much research. Lol
