Should I Repair my laptop or should i buy a new one.

Hi , ive gotten my laptop the Samsung Gamer 7 , 4 years ago. But this year it suddenly started crashing with a bzzzz sound. It happened like once a day , and then few times a day and now quite often. I sent it to samsung , they told me it might be the ram's problem (according to them it wasn't original) so they removed it and they informed me 80% of the time it's the ram's fault. But when i got home it still crashed with the bzzz sound. Thus they told me it's highly likely the mother board's fault which will cost me around $500. Should i repair or replace? The gamer 7 costed me around 2.5k. Should i take the risk to repair it? I'm pretty scared to repair as it might still have the problem after paying another 500 dollars. Any advice?

If it is the motherboard, how much can you find a replacement board?

According to samsung , they told me they would do it for 500 dollars to replace it.

You said you wanted to do it yourself, so the first thing, is to see if you can even find a motherboard replacement and how much that is to determine if it's even close to the $500 they want or not.

Actually i'm not that good at computers so im either letting samsung repair it which would cost 500 minimum according to them , or get a new com. Either one.

4 years old, I'd put $500 towards a new laptop
