Should I trade my 2014 macbook pro 15" retina with 512gb SSD and nvidia gt750m for Asus Zenbook UX501?

The logical choice would be yes right? But I would no longer be able to develop iOS applications anymore. However, I would gain access to a decent gaming mobile GPU.

In that case, I'd swap in a heartbeat. But then again, I'm not an Apple fan. The GTX 960m isn't a world beater, but it should smoke your current GPU. :D

I agree wholeheartedly. The only reason I'm not swapping yet is because I do develop iOS applications using XCode and Swift. Otherwise, I would definitely get the Asus.

Could the ASUS be Hackintoshed (I know NOTHING about it)???

That was what I was thinking about as well since the Asus has a 512gb drive, I was thinking about using 100gb for a Mac OS X partition and the rest for Windows. However, I've been reading into it and here are my two main concerns:

1. Does the Apple iOS app store accept developed apps from a Hackintoshed computer
2. Once Hackintoshed, could Apple take me to court?

My question is, can they even tell (another thing I know NOTHING about)???

I'm sure they can tell somehow, the real question is how much do they care about people using Hackintosh computers.

Not sure if this helps at all or not:

Darn it, not good :pfff:

I didn't read much of it, but was afraid that it wouldn't be good news. :(
