signal problem Vodafone Smart III (Alcatel v975)

Hi. I have the above mobile but has a problem with the signal, which sometimes lost. I sent it to the service but they want 65 euros for repair (they did not say what part they would repair). Does anyone know what part could cause the problem so may I can fix it by myself? Thanks.

It may be cheaper to just replace the phone. It can be any number of things causing the issue, from the antenna to the systemboard to even your location and the carrier.
