Simple PC audio question.

My motherboard has these audio jacks:

I already know I can improvise four channel surround sound by connecting 2 sets of speakers in the green and black jacks, positioning them, and selecting quadraphonic sound. My question is can I introduce a third and fourth speaker set in this arrangement and if so where do I connect them?

Lime Green = front L/R speakers
Black = rear surround L/R speakers
Silver = side surround L/R speakers
Orange = subwoofer and center speaker
Your audio driver should allow for 7.1 channels (.1 is the subwoofer channel).

Just for reference, what do the other 2 connections do?

Since I already have 4 sets of speakers I can improvise the high bass ones as center/subwoofer and use the others for the other positions, making use of one usb > 3.5 mm cable for one of them (the others already have 3.5 mm jacks). Correct? Or does the 4th one need native 3.5mm connection? It does not have an ac adapter (the others do).
