Hi,

Sorry if this is simple or been asked before. I am trying to attach speakers to my record player. The player has an output of red and white. The speakers have speaker cable red and black. I have also bought a red white to aux and an aux to connector. But when I attach all it does not work. Am I going wrong or is there any tips you can give. Thanks in advance

Solution
RCA jacks are used as line level connectors only in better equipment.
In cheaper gear or a record player in your case it could be either but since it didn't work you will need an integrated amplifier. Which one will depend on the impedance and power requirements of the speakers.

What's the make and model of the record player, and the speakers?
