since updating windows 10 my hdmi won't work

i have a compaq presario CQ62 laptop, i have always used it to watch tv using a hdmi cord with no problems. When it stopped working i went and bought 2 new cables thinking that was the problem but it can't be as other computers work fine. the only thing that changed was i updated windows to 10. i have since kept up with updates but nothing has been fixed i don't know what else to do?

Did it work at any point after upgrading to windows 10? Did you install Video drivers? Try switching displays using the windows and P key, go to the display manager and run detect to try the other monitor.

[/I am not exactly an IT person so I haven't done anything to the drivers. It hasn't worked at all since I updated and I have tried searching to detect another display but it doesn't register any
