single cable in wall, want to run antenna and CATV provider on same, need remote control swith unit to connect on both ends

So the question is the subject. I need a 'combiner' in the attic, and a 'splitter' at my components. Both syn'd and remote controlled.
 
I'd think it'd be a lot easier to fish a second cable down along with the existing line. Change from a single outlet at the wall to a dual outlet and then run a single switch next to the TV.

Nope. All walls foam insulated and no empty conduits run. Almost impossible to run another hidden cable.

 
Just combine them in the attic, your tv doesnt need a splitter since the two types use different frequencies. In fact many cable companies pump the local OTA channels thru their cable lines; mine does.
