Whenever I open skype, get a message sent to me via skype, or sign out of skype, all of my sound becomes high pitched and faster, like a cassette played back at 3 or 4 times the speed, I know it isnt anything to do with feedback from the microphone because it affects music and the people that i'm talking to don't notice anything wrong, I have tried reinstalling skype twice, deleting the skype folder in appdata, updating my sound card drivers, and using a different mic, the only way to get rid of it is to go into the sound card driver, and change the sampling rate from 48khz to 44.1khz and then back again, i have also tried using a lower sampling rate but that does not fix the problem, is anyone else having problems like this and has anyone fund a fix?
