Smart LG TV software or magic remote problem?

Every time that I use my lg tv, I have to register the magic remote The tv always shows the message saying that the magic remote was succesfully registered, but I have to register the magic remote every time that I turn on the tv. Another issue is: the tv first shows an basic interface, then when I push the HOME button, a "System manager initializing" message appears, and after a few time (1-2 minutes), the tv shows the tipical interface. The model is LG 58UF8300

With such an issue, I would try updating the firmware first. Follow the correct procedures using the manual. You can find the correct firmware here:

It is labelled as "Software File".

I'll do that! Actually, my tv model is 58UF8300-SA. Could it have some problem if I use the 58UF8300-UA update?

If you click "referencia" it will give you your correct SA model.

Always be careful with the UA/Sa/etc denominations.

My TV has the update 4.25.05, I think I have to downgrade the update and install the official lastest update. I tried to install the Software_File_(Version_04.20.08).zip, but I can´t. When I plugged the usb, nothing happened (I followed all the instructions described in the lg tutorial for the update).

Hmm, I don't believe you can actually downgrade the firmware with LG tv's...There is a procedure to do this that isn't recommended, but nothing official.

I guess you either will have to call LG...or get a new Main Board. 🙁 I suggest you call LG and have a talk with the support to see if a downgrade is possible.

I have a deferent problem with My LG magic Remote. For some reason the (Home, Mute, Screen Remote, buttons are not working. The remote does light up when I press any of this 3 buttons but nothing is happening with the commands that supposed to happened when you press this buttons. This actually happen to me a few times already and some how out of no where sometimes suddenly they start working again but the second you turn off the TV and turn it back on, MUTE, HOME and SCREEN REMOTE buttons no longer work again. every other button in the remote is working without any problem is just those 3 buttons not working right now. I have the latest firmware for the TV and it seems to be that this might be a software bug or something of that nature because I I have a 3rd party deferent universal remote control and I try to mute the TV with that controller and is not working with that one either but I was still able to go up and down with the volume and change channels with that remote as well. The magic remote is working I am seeing the control light's up when I press those buttons but that's about it. The TV manual is useless to say the least and I can't mute or go home because all 3 buttons are disable. I did change batteries, unplug the TV, register and di register the remote TV and nothings working. I'm without (MUTE (HOME ( SCREEN REMOTE buttons right now any help would be greatly appreciated
