Smooth scrolling with Adobe Audition

Hi,

Having replaced my old CRT with a good used TFT flat screen
display I suffer from the low refresh rate inherent with old
LCD displays. While scrolling the spectral display with Audition
lots of details escape due to blurr. In multitrack mode there's
no problem as Audition pages the screen (jumps to the next part)
when zoomed in.

In edit mode automatic smooth scroll is default but I prefer to
switch to paging mode. Where do I set this in Audition 1.5?

You don't. The page scrolling mode in multitrack view is merely a
convenience to save resources. They assume you don't need such an aid in
edit view. The only option you get is to not scroll at all.

I didn't graduate to stand-alone flat screens until recently, but my last
few laptops all had screens fast enough to show Cool Edit adequately. No
options to clean up the display?
